NS PARTNERS has been named winner in the “Fund Selection/Asset Allocation Offering” and “Manager with international Offices outside of Switzerland” categories. As NS PARTNERS celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, these awards confirm its expertise and global reach, making it one of the key players in the Swiss and European independent asset management industry.

Presented last night in Zurich at a gala evening attended by the industry’s crème de la crème, these awards recognize Switzerland’s best independent asset management companies. They were selected after a rigorous process by a panel of recognized experts. The independent jury comprises specialist consultants, representatives of custodian banks and technology solution providers, as well as other industry figures.

Commenting on the NS PARTNERS award, the judges said:

NS Partners – Best Portfolio Manager in the “Equity Global Blend” category at the Citywire Switzerland Awards 2023

NS Partners wins best portfolio manager in the ‘equity-global blend’ category at the Citywire Switzerland Portfolio Manager and Group Awards 2023, on 21 March in Zurich

NS PARTNERS won the best portfolio manager prize in the “Equity – Global Blend” category of the Citywire Switzerland Portfolio Manager and Group Awards 2023. Pierre Mouton, manager of the DGC Stock Selection fund, came out on top of the 5 nominees for his results over the last 3 years.

The awards, which were presented last night by Citywire at its annual event at the Alprausch Fabrik in Zurich, recognise the best fund managers in 11 different categories. The methodology used recognises the Swiss fund manager with the best risk-adjusted return over three years. Only funds registered for public distribution in Switzerland are considered. Citywire analyses the results of 16,500 fund managers in 47 countries.

Pierre Mouton joined NS Partners in 2003. He is responsible for the group’s long only strategies and is a member of the Asset Allocation Committee. He has been managing the Luxembourg DGC – Stock Selection fund since its launch in 2013. Pierre Mouton has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. After starting his career at AG2R La Mondiale, where he successively managed money market, bond and equity portfolios, he joined Fiduciary Trust in Geneva in 2000 as a portfolio manager. He holds a Master’s degree in finance, actuarial science and portfolio management from SKEMA Business School in Lille (France).

Pierre Mouton was speaking at the Citywire Switzerland awards, where he picked up the prize for best fund manager in the Equity – Global Blend category.

In the video interview above he also mentions that he finds it hard to identify quality in the utilities sector, and why he is drawn more towards industrials stocks.

He also spoke on his definition of quality stocks, why NS Partners avoids tilting too much towards either growth or value, and the importance of not being punished for overpaying.

With this prestigious award and almost 60 years of existence, NS PARTNERS has established itself as one of the key players in the Swiss and European independent asset management industry.

The awards, which were presented last night in Zurich at an event attended by the industry’s top brass, recognise the best independent Swiss asset management companies. These companies were selected by a panel of recognised experts after a rigorous judging process. The independent jury comprises specialist consultants, representatives from custodian banks and technology providers, along with industry figures.

NS PARTNERS was a double winner at the WealthBriefing Swiss EAM Awards 2022. After taking the Fund Selection/Asset Allocation prize, it also received the Thematic Investment Proposition or Strategy award.

These awards, which are given to the best independent Swiss asset managers, were presented last night at a gala evening in Zurich. The winners are selected by a panel of experts after a rigorous judging process. The independent jury comprises specialist consultants and representatives from custodian banks and technology providers, along with other industry experts,

Referring to the first prize for the Fund Selection/Asset Allocation Offering, a panel member explained: “With a track record of more than 50 years in fund selection and as one of the best fund managers, NS Partners is clearly a leader in this category”.
